The Band
תקיעה is the shofar blast — the note that stops a room and turns every head to the door. That is the job. We do it with brass.
Tekia is a New York brass band built for Jewish simchas. Trumpet, trombone, saxophone and sousaphone, played loud and played tight. No power, no speakers, no soundcheck. We walk in, we start, and the dancing starts with us.
The band comes out of New York Brass Productions — Danny Flam’s horn section, the one behind records for Benny Friedman, Yaakov Shwekey, MBD, Avraham Fried, Lipa Schmeltzer, Ishay Ribo and Mordechai Shapiro. Same players. Now on your sidewalk.

Simchas
Hachnosas Sefer Torah
The band leads from the house to the shul, playing the whole way. Brass carries down an open street better than anything you can wheel out and plug in.
Bar Mitzvah
A walk-in that turns every head, dancing sets through the night, and a march to the bimah on Shabbos morning.
Kumzitz
Soft and slow. Muted horns, close harmony, no drums. The old niggunim at a volume you can sing over.
Sheva Brochos
A short set between courses, or a full hour of dancing. The trio fits in a dining room without moving the table.
Summer Camp
Visiting day, colour war breakout, Shabbos walk, last-night banquet. Camps book the band for the full day.

Who is behind it
Tekia is staffed from New York Brass Productions. The same horns you have heard on Jewish records for the last twenty years, plus sessions for Broadway, film scores and major-label dates. Danny Flam leads — former Israel Philharmonic, IDF Air Force orchestras, thirty-five years of simchas.
